
Ricky Gervais Roasts Celebrities In His Golden Globes Monologue But They Weren’t Too Happy About It
This year, the prestigious Golden Globes Awards ceremony was hosted by English comedian Ricky Gervais. As this was the fifth and last time he hosted the ceremony, the man said he “doesn’t care anymore” and gave a hilarious monologue relentlessly yet accurately roasting some of your favorite Hollywood celebrities. However, some of them weren’t too happy about Ricky’s speech and you could clearly see it on their faces. Imagine hiring a comedian to host an award ceremony and then being surprised he makes fun of you – who could have thought?

Gervais’ 8-minute monologue was full of accurate jokes, criticizing the celebrities for their hypocrisy, racism and even child abuse. There was even a “Jeffrey Epstein didn’t kill himself” joke quickly thrown in there!

Some of them even went to publicly criticize him

And while some celebrities managed to laugh at themselves, others clearly did not find it so funny. Maybe they just didn’t like to be outed as hypocrites?

Others defended Gervais, such as stand-up comedian Whitney Cummings

Comedian Whitney Cummings defended Gervais in a Twitter post, saying that instead of criticizing him, they should donate money to Australia to help fight the bushfires .

Some of the celebrities clearly thought they are above being made fun of but guess what – they’re not.
