Prankster Puts Fake Self-Help Books At A Local Bookstore

Many people enjoy a great prank, and Jeff Wysaski can pull a pretty geeky one, too. His latest stunt was to place fake self help books in an unnamed West Hollywood book store. Bearing such titles like So Your Son Is A Centaur , these books deal with some… less explored areas of self help. Or something totally unrelated, since those are just old books given funny jackets. I wonder how many shoppers will be let down after the realization that those books aren’t real.

And they do look convincing. Clearly Jeff has a keen eye when it comes to analyzing book covers, as his fake book sleeves look top notch. The formatting, the design, the fonts – all make them almost indistinguishable from actual self-help books. Naturally, the author can’t help and slip in some humor into his writing, so that dispels the illusion a little.

On the other hand, I doubt these are any weirder than some of the self-published books out there.
