Photos Of The Milky Way Mirrored In The World’s Largest Salt Flats By Russian Photographer

In May 2016, nature prepped the stage for a sight like no other. The world’s largest salt flats, the Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia, were flooded with water, turning the flats into the largest mirror on earth. Good news for us is that Russian photographer Daniel Kordan was there to capture the moment.

Daniel took his handy Nikon D810A camera, mounted a 14-24mm f/2.8 lens and set off to photograph the Milky Way galaxy reflected from the mirror-like flats. The results are mesmerizing long exposure shots of other worlds captured in one of the most otherworldly places on earth.
