Pac-Man’s Creator Toru Iwatani Shows Original Concept Drawings From 1980

Pac-Man has been around longer than I have, so I always sort of just took it for granted. I never had a thought about Pac-Man going through the usual stages of video game development. That is until now, when images of Pac-Man concept art surfaced on Reddit .

Those are the pages from Toru Iwatani’s sketchbook filled with the original drafts of Pac-Man. Toru is the legendary Japanese video game creator who’s responsible for the original arcade game version of Pac-Man.

Oh, and if you’re wondering, that red stamp in the middle means ‘secret’.
