Mother Takes Pictures Of Her Children’s Summers In The Polish Countryside
Lodz, Poland-based photographer and mother of two Izabela Urbaniak takes beautiful pictures of her children with their cousins and friends as they spend their care-free summer days in the Polish countryside in Lugowiska. Since she began in 2012, her “Summertime” series has evolved into a wonderful collection of black and white photographs full of nostalgic and sweet childhood memories.
“ The series is inspired by my own childhood, when I used to visit my grandmother in the summer and spend my school vacations in the countryside, “ Urbaniak told Bored Panda. “ These days, I just love watching kids play in the countryside – my younger son Antek loves to play with his cousins Jas, Maja and Julia. There’s also my lovely Jack Russel terrier Tosia, as well as a cat and some puppies that belong to our neighbors. ”
Urbaniak says she doesn’t use digital manipulations much – she only uses Photoshop to make the photos black and white and to increase the contrast. She shoots with a Canon Mark III and 50 mm f 1.4 and 85 mm f 1.2 lenses.
