Maine Coon Cats Photographed As Majestic Mythical Beasts

Ever wanted to have a pet lynx but had this nagging feeling that the plan will backfire horribly? Yeah, you should probably follow that feeling. But if you still want a pet that’s more on the wild side, consider following photographer’s Robert Sijka’s footsteps, who fell in love with the largest domesticated breed of cats in the world – Maine Coon.

To Sijka, these cats are almost mystical beasts, and in his photo series he makes that visible to the rest of us: “ My passions are cats and photography, I do my best to combine these two things as good as possible, ” writes Sijka. And that combination worked magically by revealing the majestic side of these impressive animals.

His inspiration came from a similar “ photo of Dolce Vita and De La Loo – two of the most majestic black Maine Coons… photographed beautifully on a simple black background, ” Robert revealed to Cat Behaviourist . After that came his own shots at capturing the almost mystical nature of these cats, and the results are simply incredible.
