Guy Sneaks Into Fukushima To Document The Ghost Town Untouched Since 2011

It’s been five years since Japan experienced one of the worst nuclear disasters in history, that turned the city of Fukushima into a ghost town. Five years later, not much has changed since that fateful event. How do we know? Because Keow Wee Loong just brought back a bunch of extremely rare shots from his trip to Fukushima’s exclusion zone.

Equipped only with his camera and a gas mask, Loong snuck into the still-closed exclusion zone and captured these eerie images of a town forever trapped in a single moment in time. Shop shelves still filled with goods and cars left parked next to lifeless houses remind us of a once bustling city and give us the answer to a long pondered question: what would happen if one day humans were to just disappear?
