Flora And Fauna Tattoos Inspired By Vintage Science Drawings
How old school do you want your tattoo to be? Pony Reinhardt does her tattoos in the distinctive line art style. It was used to make images in straight or curved lines and without change in shading and hue, a favorite in the world of printing before halftones and photography were invented. A tattoo like that bears the look of a 19th century scientific book.
Pony Reinhardt runs her own appointment only tattoo studio called Tenderfoot. Each tattoo costs a flat $150 fee as well as a fee per hour. She uses vegan inks and encourages customers to be detailed in their descriptions of the tattoo. Reinhardt is actually a college graduate with a BFA is fibers and is “following a natural evolution from the use of skin as a sculptural medium to canvas. Hopefully the laws will soon allow her to combine these two interests.”

Botanical Tattoos Made By Imprinting Real Leaves On The Skin
This is to the guys who are on a constant quest to find that one-of-a-kind tattoo. Ukrainian tattoo artist Rita “Rit Kit” Zolotukhina has found a way to make every tattoo unique with the helping hand of Mother Nature.
She calls them “botanical fingerprint” tattoos. “I’m a nature lover. So most of my sketches are related to flora. But the more I drew, the more I wanted something fresh and native, to feel the plants without any steps in between,” said Rita to Illusion Magazine . She dips real leaves and flowers into stencil ink before placing them onto the skin. As no two leaves are the same, each permanent imprints they leave on the skin is unique.
Finally your quest to get that unique tattoo is over… when you manage to find your way to Ukraine that is.

Artist Takes Line Art To Next Level By Making Single Continuous Line Tattoos
Writing with a single line is hard enough – my cursive is nigh illegible – and drawing is even more so. That’s why Mo Ganji’s tattoo’s are so impressive. Animals, faces, flowers, Chewbacca – every design can be traced without lifting a finger. Such minimalist approach does make for stark, line art tattoos, though, so it might not be for folks who like their ink bright and vibrant.
Born in Tehran, Mo Ganji is of Iranian and German heritage, and lives and works in Berlin. “It is very easy to paint or draw a very fancy, detailed design” Ganji commented on minimalism in an online interview. “Anyone can add and add and add. It gets very interesting when you have a limited range of tools to work with. Creating something simple is way more challenging to me than creating something complex.”
