How long have you been creating these paintings?
“I started my career as a full-time artist in 2019 and have been painting in this pixelated style for about 3 years.”
What influenced or inspired you to pursue this particular art form?
“The evolution of my artistic style was an organic process, driven by my desire to create a less realistic look in my paintings. By intentionally limiting myself to vertical and horizontal brushstrokes, I was able to interpret landscapes in a new exciting way.
While I’m currently immersed in a new series that’s a bit more realistic, I can’t help but reflect on my previous collection, Forest Weave, which stands as my most abstract body of work to date. I can’t wait to create more paintings in that particular, heavily pixelated style.”
Could you please share some insights into your creative process?
“When encountering a captivating scene, whether found in nature, on social media, or within the frames of a movie, I reach for my sketchbook. With a few simple lines, I swiftly capture the essence of what I see. This method allows me to infuse the composition with my own unique perspective. Rather than relying on a photograph, I prefer the freedom of artistic interpretation.
During this initial sketching phase, I also make notes about the colors that I envision complementing the scene and I map out how I want the lighting to enhance the atmosphere.
Once I’ve chosen the ideal mediums and materials to bring my vision to life, I transfer those initial sketches onto the canvas. Rather than meticulously planning the placement of every brushstroke, I embrace spontaneity. By working in the moment, I’m allowing the artwork to guide me.”
The art of Luiza Niechoda challenges our perception of reality and invites us to explore the boundaries of artistic expression. Through her pixelated paintings, she captures the essence of landscapes in a visually striking and abstract manner. As she continues to push the boundaries of her creativity, there is no doubt that Luiza Niechoda will leave an indelible mark on the art world with her unique and thought-provoking works of art.

Artist Paints Realistic Portraits On His Hands And Stamps Them On Paper
Art in the palm of your hand? You got it! California-based artist, Russell Powell, paints celebrities’ faces on the palm of his hand. He then transfers them to paper, using his self-titled “hand-stamping” technique.
Russell adds intricate facial features and dramatic shading, which give his creations a spectacular, three-dimensional appearance. He works quickly enough to ensure the paint doesn’t dry before he puts palm to paper.
By adding his hand-print, Russell’s creations get a distinctive personal touch, and will always remain unique to him.
