We don’t know about you, but we can’t get enough of the honest, lighthearted comics that Israeli artist Yehuda Adi Devir creates. Inspired by everyday situations, the comic series “One of those days” is a fun look at the beauty of simple, everyday kind of love.

“My wife, Maya, and I have been together for almost 8 years,” says the man behind the amusing drawings. “We met long ago in our military service after a long period of friendship, we started dating and got married a year and a half ago.” The illustrations for them is a way to preserve the fun memories of the little things that happen each day and sometimes go unnoticed.

Apart from being the subject of the comics, Maya also helps Yahuda when creating the illustrations as she herself is an artist too. “Usually after something interesting for illustration happens to us, we tighten the concept and do a few composition sketches,” Yehuda explains the stages they go through when making the illustrations. “After that I sit down and start working. When I finish, Maya adds her suggestions for improvement, suggesting color, typography and so on.” According to the creator, all together these processes usually don’t take more than a day.

The audiences love the quirky illustrations, often because they are so easy to relate to. Many couples see themselves and their partners in the way the portrayed characters behave. The support, of course, doesn’t go unappreciated by the author. “I wanted to say a huge thanks to all our followers and the love we get. Thanks to you we can continue to create “One of those days” and make the world a happier place!”
