Vivianne Dubois is a character designer, animator and game enthusiast currently working at the Submarine production company in the Netherlands. It’s no surprise that many artists have done various recreations of Disney characters before, but this artist came up with a unique idea you’ve never seen before – Vivianne recreated famous Disney villains as little kids and her illustrations are absolutely adorable!

She came up with the idea for this project during her first year in art school. She had just started learning how to draw digitally and only drew fan art.

“I just thought it would be interesting to see how the villains might have acted and looked like when they were just naive little kids while trying to maintain their key personality traits at the same time,” said the artist. “That, and I just liked drawing cute stuff.”

Vivianne said she started with Ursula, her favorite character and worked through a list of her other personal favorites. “At first, I wanted to recreate all of the villains but at some point, I just got tired of the project and wanted to move on to other stuff,” said the artist.

The artist said that growing up with Disney was one of the reasons why she decided to become an animator.
