25 Times People Were Sorely Disappointed By An Airbnb They’d Booked
Planning a holiday takes a certain amount of work. Research, coordinating schedules and packing are just some of the items that need to be checked off the list. Usually the first step after you decide on a location is to choose where you will stay. This is an important decision as it can heavily impact your vacation.
If hotels are not your thing, you may opt to rent out a home for the holidays. It greatly helps if you can choose a central location that has easy access to shopping, tourist attractions, as well as night life – (or be able to accommodate family-oriented fun if that’s more your thing). Having a nice pool set-up, BBQ facilities, being beachfront and other such amenities can play a big role in making a place worth booking. However, not all Airbnbs look as advertised on arrival, unfortunately. Sometimes the reality is far below the expectations and we’ve listed some prime examples of this, in the gallery below.

Totally horrid experience with MakeMyTrip, as the hotel booking was “non-refundable” they won’t be able to do anything. Completely ruined my family vacation. I will advise everyone to check the refund policy before booking.
Not sure whether consumer court is a good option or not. This was a fraud in my opinion but not sure if MMT can get away with this by stating their “policies”

I wasn’t expecting a Marriott but…dang. When I raised my disappointment to the hotel manager, his response was, “…Is it the carpet?” No, no it is not just the carpet. The cherry on top are the vinyl blinds with stock-image-quality prints. TWO of them. Even better.
