20 Wholesome Comics By Valérie Minelli Illustrating Her And Her Boyfriend’s Daily Struggles
Valérie Minelli is a 26-year-old comic artist from Luxembourg who creates the adorable Mrs.Frollein comic strip about her and her boyfriend’s daily struggles. From simple things like watching movies together to supporting each other during hard times – this couple’s relationship is the ultimate “couple goals”.
She says the mission of her comics is to touch people. “Most of the time, my comics are very wholesome because I just want to put a smile on the faces of people who read them,” says Valérie. “Sometimes they text me that a comic brightened up their day and that comment brightens up mine! That said, my most liked comic ever is about my dog that passed away, so a few sad comics slip in from time to time.”
The artist says she draws in a pretty minimalistic style since she posts a comic every Sunday and can’t invest too much time in coloring them. “Also, I want them to be easily recognizable, especially on a very fast medium like Instagram, where people swipe through so many things in such a short period,” added the artist.
