20 Incredible Room Transformations From The ‘Design My Room’ Online Community
Design fans have come together and used the internet to do the most wonderful thing. The subreddit, ‘Design My Room’ , is a simple concept where a person uploads a picture/s of their room to the community with details of measurements etc., and folks suggest redesign ideas.
If there’s additional information or limitations you want to share, for example, budget or style requirements (e.g. minimalist) folks are receptive to everything so you can get a more personalised design. What’s even more fabulous is that the OP’s usually take the advice and renovate accordingly. They even upload photos of the before and after so we can all relish the satisfaction of a space elevated to its highest potential. Shanilou Perera
Shanilou has always loved reading and learning about the world we live in. While she enjoys fictional books and stories just as much, since childhood she was especially fascinated by encyclopaedias and strangely enough, self-help books. As a kid, she spent most of her time consuming as much knowledge as she could get her hands on and could always be found at the library. Now, she still enjoys finding out about all the amazing things that surround us in our day-to-day lives and is blessed to be able to write about them to share with the whole world as a profession.
This 3D-Printed Lamp Turns Any Room Into A Wonderland
Paris-based artist couple Linlin and Pierre-Yves Jacques fused interior design and 3D printing in their latest beautiful creation – a lace-patterned lamp. When turned on, it casts beautiful floral patterns on your room’s walls.
This beautiful 3D-printed lamp comes in two models: Sky and Land. The Sky model features a lace-patterned element on its top, creating shadows on the ceilings and walls, while the Land model, with the lace part on lamp’s lower part, casts the patterns on the lower part of the room.
