20 Fascinating Bus Stop Designs Spotted In The Soviet By A Canadian Photographer

Canadian photographer Christopher Herwig embarked on this unique passion project to showcase the bus stops of the Soviets. Beginning in 2002, he travelled over 50,000 km from Ukraine to Uzbekistan, Armenia to Far Eastern Siberia in search of all the bus stops.

Christopher’s decade-long project ‘SOVIET BUS STOPS – The Poetry of the Road’ premiered in 2022. Scroll below to check out a few select images from the photo series celebrating the architectural marvel of these peculiar structures.

Shanilou has always loved reading and learning about the world we live in.
