In a closed meeting with six senators, in which they discussed questions related to immigration, the President has reportedly referred to Haiti, El Salvador, and some unspecified African countries as ‘shitholes.’ The statement, unsurprisingly, didn’t go unnoticed and many people took offense, including Haitian congresswoman Mia Love.

Although people still aren’t sure whether the exact expression was used or not, the fact that it didn’t come as a surprise and people instantly believed it could have been possible, says a lot about our expectations to one of the most powerful leaders in the world.
